Without a clearly articulated and communicated vision, the developmental potential of an organization is significantly weakened and its capacity to function as a high performing entity severely compromised. In fact, it is likely to go anywhere and do anything with no particular purpose or accomplishable objective in mind.
A ship sailing without coordinates will encounter problems. Without coordinates, you will most certainly have some serious location issues. The reality is that some businesses don’t know where they are….yep, they are unfortunately out in the middle of the ocean without destination, lacking coordinates and with a frantic crew. That need not be the case and certainly should not be accepted as normal.
