The notion of value added has a flip side; it’s called value lost. It is a disruptive element of opportunity and productivity, occasioned by failure to see the end when at the beginning. It can disfigure organizations, derail their cost structure and render them useless.
Unfortunately, it is often rooted in substandard structures, obsolete systems and the absence of commitment to valuing valuable opportunity to be of #value and be valued.
