Yep...it's an option, just that it is not yours. Your time of accomplishment has been defined by a power greater than you and your role does not end until your role comes to an end. Giving up is an option, but not within the characterization of your role.
..and listen...when you have labored long and hard and those empowered to motivate you to go to the next level instead discourage you as if to disarm your passion to labor long and hard; labor long and labor hard! defy the odds and labor long and hard!
