The “PECB ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager” exam fully meets the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. It covers the following competency domains:
Domain 1 - Fundamental principles and concepts of risk management
Domain 2 - Establishing the risk management framework
Domain 3 - Initiating the risk management process and risk assessment
Domain 4 - Risk treatment, risk recording and reporting
Domain 5 - Risk monitoring, review, communication, and consultation
After passing the exam, you can apply for one of the credentials in the table below. You will receive a certificate once you fulfill all the requirements of the selected credential.
PECB ISO 31000 Risk Manager
Professional experience: 2 years (1 in risk management)
Risk management experience: at least 200 hours
PECB ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager
Professional experience: 5 years (2 in risk management)
Risk management experience: at least 300 hours
PECB ISO 31000 Senior Lead Risk Manager
Professional experience: 10 years (7 in risk management)
Risk management experience: at least 1,000 hours
Risk management activities should follow best practices and can include: defining the approach, designing and establishing the framework, implementing the process, identifying assets and sources of risk/opportunity, assessing likelihood and consequences, evaluating treatment options, accepting residual risk, and performing reviews.

Participants will receive more than 400 pages of comprehensive training materials, including practical examples, exercises, and quizzes.
Participants who have completed the training course will receive an attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits.
Candidates who have completed the training course with one of our partners and failed the first exam attempt are eligible to retake for free the exam within a 12-month period from the course completion date. Fees paid for the training course includes a first exam attempt and one retake. Otherwise, retake fees will apply.
