Lean Management - Level 1, is a career development course for upskilling and creating a disciplined focus on best management and deployment of resources to achieve end-to-end process excellence, continuous improvement and performance gains across enterprise functions.  

Included in this this course are sessions that will enable you with skills to:  

  • better define the tenets and value of lean thinking and management

  • effectively Identify and manage the “eight wastes” that contribute to non-value added activities in a value stream

  • understand the concept and tenets of SIPOC Mapping as a foundation principle for implementing tested process systems and controls

  • structure and document an effective problem statement using the Lean 5W2H methodology

  • engage in, plan and execute rapid improvement projects (kaizen)

  • apply techniques for creating and maintaining a work environment that supports time and motion efficiency, while improving productive use of workspace and overall productivity
