Where are the Thumbs?

Values are vital to good governance of any organization. They are the bedrock of effective process management and improvement. They are the basis upon which important management/staff relations are built and yep they are at the core of excellence in customer service and management.

Values should never be solely determined by the top layer of an organization and “handed” down for adherence. In fact, good governance subscribes to the setting of organizational values as a shared process. The notion that an organization can successfully accomplish planned objectives outside of managerial commitment to open discussion and consensus on core values with a cross section of stakeholders is both false and dangerous.

Commit to talking with internal stakeholders (staff) and give opportunity for them to commit to higher levels of adherence and consistency that can very well fortify brand and corporate longevity.
